I perceive ‘social media’ and ‘lifestyle writing’ as two influencers online who aren't only highly influential but also competitive. These two are the dream combination that if ever come together might strike out a huge outreach online and attract a lot of combined and individual audience.

Hey, fellow social media aficionados! I think social media and lifestyle writing are two peas in a pod. Since the start of social media and the popularity of lifestyle writing, I have seen this combination proving to be deadly and colliding to shape not just our online presence, but real-life experiences and perspectives eventually influential.

Starting, with something that attracts us to social media platforms can be what’s trending on Twitter to #OOTDs on Instagram. We consume it and digest it to the extent that this perceived ‘coolness’ guides our lifestyle choices (Sometimes massively).

So, where does lifestyle writing come into the picture? Well, think of it through a depiction of a perfectly curated feed. Our explore pages don't really have the ‘explore’ nature to them, but it's just the curated content of our choice. The curated version is one of our choices based on our idealized version of life. Well, when something is so deeply curated with the style of living, Lifestyle writing has to come into the scenario.

Moreover, lifestyle writing has the power to dig deeper, exploring the nuances and complexities of modern living. While social media might act as an inspiration (hope not influence in this circumstance), a beautiful depiction can be brought out through the means of people showcasing them online and what their real-life might consist of. Apart from the same, an over-the-top storyline can also be drafted based on the high-end and glorified depiction of media. Apart from the overemphasized depiction of the entire world where lifestyle is equal to nothing and is showcased on social media in its raw terms can bring out a good persuasive lifestyle writeup.

But here's the catch – with great power comes great responsibility. As writers, we must navigate the fine line between authenticity and aspiration. The depiction must be made in the realest form. The amplified version doesn't need any more of a filter or face tune. In fact, neither does the latter need any kind of beautification in its portrayal rather than the true self.

I also think it's the job of lifestyle writers to confront the unrealistic standards, the constant comparisons, and ‘FOMO’- which causes more of us to miss out on the real essence of life. We need to stay true to our voice and not submerge ourselves within this multilayered audio media online. It's time for us to embrace authenticity and let the diverse tapestry of human experiences shine. Maybe that way, your writing can create an impact on lifestyle i.e. the one ‘IRL’ and the one for ‘the gram’.
